Kids Birthday Party Venues in Hong Kong: Packages and Prices Compared (2026)

Somewhere between the class WhatsApp group and the third venue that quoted you a different price for the same thing, planning a kids birthday party in Hong Kong becomes a part time job. The hard part is not finding venues. It is finding out what anything actually costs before you enquire.

So here is the comparison we wish existed: the main types of kids party venues in Hong Kong with real prices, honest age recommendations, and what each one is actually like for the parents. We run escape room parties ourselves at Fox in a Box, so we are one of the options below and openly biased about it, but the rest of the list is played straight.

Escape room party

The escape room party is what happens when the birthday kid has outgrown bouncy castles but is still years away from wanting a dinner. For 60 minutes the group is locked into a mission together, and there is no moment where half the guests stand around waiting for a turn, because escape rooms only work when everyone plays.

At Fox in a Box our birthday party packages start at $2,480 for the Party Package: one escape room and a designated party area in our lobby for the cake moment, covering 8 players (that is also the minimum), with additional guests at $250 each. The Ultimate Party Package at $4,180 runs two rooms side by side for bigger groups, with extra guests at $490. Four of our eight rooms are kid friendly (Life Sentence, Wild West Saloon, Mastermind Heist and The Bunker), Game Masters watch every second and drop extra hints for younger players, and parents get the rarest party gift of all: an hour of sitting down while someone else runs the show.

Best for: ages 10 to 16, groups of 8 to 16, and any parent whose child has declared themselves too old for a playroom.

Trampoline park party

Ryze in Quarry Bay runs the classic energy burner: packages from $2,700 for 10 jumpers on weekdays, including an hour of jump time, 45 minutes at a party table afterwards, grip socks and basic partyware. Weekend slots cost more and go fast.

Best for: ages 5 to 14 and groups with energy to burn. Budget for the near certainty that the adults end up jumping too.

Laser tag party

ResaLaser charges per head by session length, from $188 for one hour up to $488 for four, with neon lit arenas, dedicated birthday zones and add ons like entertainers and photo booths. Crossfire Arena in Kwun Tong prices by group instead, from $2,688 for 12 players.

Best for: ages 8 and up, especially mixed groups who all want to shoot each other with zero consequences.

Indoor climbing party

Verm City in Quarry Bay hosts parties around its Clip N Climb zone, where the walls are colourful, the auto belays do the safety work, and no experience is needed. Party packages are quoted per event, so ask for current rates.

Best for: ages 4 to 12. Climbing has a nice built in structure for shy kids: you always know what you are supposed to be doing.

Playroom party

For the under 8s, dedicated playrooms are the honest answer, and we say that as an escape room. ProGym packages run $4,499 to $7,499 depending on theme, and Acorn Playhouse takes parties of up to 150 guests across its play zones. These venues are built for the age group where the party is really for the parents anyway.

Best for: ages 2 to 8. Book these for the little ones and come see us in a few years.

Hotel buffet party

Hotels like Park Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui price per head, roughly $308 to $438 per child depending on the sitting, with adults slightly more. You pay for the convenience of catering, staff and cleanup being someone else’s job.

Best for: multi generation parties where grandparents are guests too, and parents who want zero logistics.

Private party room

Hong Kong’s party room scene, think industrial building units with consoles, board games, karaoke machines and snack tables, typically works out at $100 to $250 per head for a few hours. Quality varies wildly, so read recent reviews before paying a deposit.

Best for: ages 12 and up who mostly want unstructured time with friends. For structured fun, the activity venues on this list deliver more.

Tech playroom party

Sooper Yoo in Shau Kei Wan covers the widest age range on this list, 4 to 17, with a VR cave, climbing structures and a kids TV studio, and party packages include a private room. Pricing is package based.

Best for: mixed age sibling parties where a 6 year old and a 13 year old both need to leave happy.

Home party with an entertainer

A magician or entertainer for a home or clubhouse party typically runs $2,000 to $3,500 for the show. Add your own food and decorations and it is often the cheapest route for younger kids, at the cost of your flat surviving 15 sugared guests.

Best for: ages 3 to 8, buildings with a clubhouse, and parents with good insurance on their furniture.

How to choose

Start with age, not venue. Under 8s need playrooms, bouncing and shows. From about 10, kids want to feel older than they are, which is why escape rooms, laser tag and VR take over: they are games, but they are not childish, and that distinction matters enormously to an 11 year old.

Then decide what your own party job should be. Per head venues with catering cost more but delete your to do list. Package venues keep the price fixed and predictable: at ours, $2,480 covers the activity and the party space, and you bring the cake.
